The Academy of Gymnastics & Dance Home of Salcianu Elite Gymnastics Team

Elite gymnastics is the highest level of gymnastics competition, and it is the level that most people associate with the Olympics. Elite gymnastics is reserved for the most talented and dedicated gymnasts who have advanced through the levels of competition. In elite gymnastics, gymnasts perform highly advanced and difficult routines that are customized to their unique strengths and abilities. The focus is on executing difficult skills with precision, artistry, and athleticism.

Compulsory gymnastics is the entry-level program that introduces young gymnasts to the sport. In compulsory gymnastics, all gymnasts perform the same routine on each apparatus, which includes floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bars, and vault. The routines are predetermined and consist of a specific set of skills and movements that the gymnasts must perform in a particular order. The focus is on basic skills, technique, and form.

Xcel gymnastics is a newer program that was designed to provide a more flexible and inclusive competition experience. In Xcel gymnastics, gymnasts compete routines that are customized to their individual abilities, strengths, and skill level. Xcel gymnastics includes five different levels, ranging from Bronze to Diamond. The routines are less structured than in compulsory gymnastics, and there is more room for creativity and individuality. Xcel gymnastics also emphasizes the development of life skills, such as teamwork, goal-setting, and self-discipline.
